Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a born and raised Georgia girl! I have two beautiful children, and married by high school best friend. I love all things horror, and have a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I’ve always loved to read, but never dreamed that I’d be able to write something people would actually want to read. Despite having numerous stories floating around in my head.

What are you working on now and what is your inspiration?

I’m working on two series actually. My inspiration for Wishing For Them came from a longing I saw from readers to see more diversity in the genre. Which lead to the creation of Fifi, the fairy godmother in the book. She’s also a fabulous drag queen. Plus, I have many family and friends that are part of the LGBTQ community, and I wanted to represent for them! For my other series, the cover was my inspiration. The winged girl in the cage just spoke to me, and the story has written itself. Again, I wanted it to be a story that others could relate to, which is why each of the main characters have a disability or genetic disorder that sets them apart as different, but makes them stronger.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I don’t think I have any quirks… I just try to write when I can. Sometimes that means I have kids running around screaming in the background, or everyone is sleeping and it’s the wee hours of the morning.

What are your hopes for the future?

I’d love to make a career out of this. Now that I’ve started writing, the story practically forces itself to the front of my mind until I write it. And I have lots of stories planned.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

My best advice is to just write it. And when you finish writing it, find an amazing beta team that you can trust. After they finish with it, find an editor to go through it too because after all that, you’ll still miss things. lol 😂

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

I just appreciate them so much. There are still days when I feel like a complete fraud, but someone will message me or review my book, and it just uplifts my spirits to know that maybe I’m not all that awful after all. I just love them all!❤️
