Tell us a bit about yourself
– I live in Michigan with my four cats, which is why I call myself a crazy cat lady in training. I’m from a family of readers and writers.
°
Have you always wanted to become an author?
– I’ve wanted to write for as long as I can remember. It’s been a part of me, just like breathing, since I was very, very young.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
– My current series is a kinky retelling of fairytales, and the inspiration was both the fairytales themselves and my co-author, Scarlett Snow. Sometimes it’s nice to have fun and do something unexpected with well-worn stories that everybody knows.
°
What are you working on now?
– At the moment, I’m working on the second of the Everafter Academy books, as well as a bunch of short stories for upcoming anthologies.

Do you have any quirks while writing?
– I think I’m a pretty boring writer when it comes to quirks. Sometimes I like to have music while I write (I often make playlists specific to the project at hand), and sometimes I don’t. I can’t have the television on when I’m writing, if that’s a quirk. The only think I can think of is that if I know I’m waiting for a call or for someone to show up at my place, I can’t concentrate enough to write, and that kills me.

What are your hopes for the future?
– I hope that the rest of the Everafter Academy series is received just as well as the first book, and I hope to continue writing with Scarlett for a very long time to come.
Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
– It’s rough, man, and getting with a “traditional” publisher isn’t the glory that it used to be. I prefer independent publishing, where I can be in control of my product from start to finish, and where the only authority I need to bow to is myself, my co-author and the Almighty Zon (since Amazon is pretty much the only game in town if you want wide exposure).
°
Do you have anything to say to your readers?
– hank you so much for your kindness and the wonderful response to my books so far. I hope you stay with me in the years to come. There are so many more stories I want to tell you.
