Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Rozie Marshall. I have a BA in European history. I write Paranormal Reverse Harem at the moment. I’m also working on a post apocalyptic pirate RH, and a Zombie RH… plus I have several series planned for the future. I am polyamorous so the reverse harem wasn’t hard for me to imagine. I also write some erotica and BDSM but they have yet to be released.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I’ve been writing for over 15 years in the hopes of being published. I would lose myself in historical details and the plot would suffer. I switched genres to Paranormal and the ideas and plot’s just flew out. I have wanted to be an author for a very long time, so now that I’m published it’s a dream come true.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Most of the characters are based off people I know and love in real life. Some taken straight from my relationships with alternat names. The story itself was based on recurring dreams I kept having, that I thought would make a great storyline. I also took inspiration from an image I found online and that dictated the number of men in my main character’s life.

What are you working on now?

I am working on the fourth book of my current series. A standalone post apocalyptic pirate RH. The first book in a Zombie RH series. Also two cowrites with other authors. Plus when I have the time I will outline and do character bios for future series I have planned.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

My characters talk to me and tell me what to write. I tend to listen to opera while writing. I’m OCD so I tent to organize the hell out of everything on my desktop in neat little rows or columns. I tend to work best at night when my children are asleep…they tend to distract me when I try to write in the day.

What are your hopes for the future?

I would love to be able to make writing my full time job. I have several other series planned that I would like to get out in the future. I hope to get at least a small fan base that would make going to book signings a thing I could do. Really thought my biggest hope is that people enjoy my books.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Never give up, even if it takes years. Never read a 1 star review it will only cause you to doubt yourself. Always believe that you are where you should be. Never compromise your story for someone else’s opinion. Remember always that it’s your voice that should be heard, and people want to hear your voice.
