Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi and thank you for having me on today! I’m Rosemary A Johns – USA Today bestselling author of urban fantasy romance and RH series REBEL ANGELS, REBEL VAMPIRES, and REBEL WEREWOLVES! I write snarky angels, savage vampires, and epic battles. I’m a fantasy fanatic and paranormal anti-hero addict.

Cut me open and I bleed Smells Like Teen Spirit. I spend my time falling in love with the rebels and anti-heroes fighting their way out of my head…and onto the page.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes! I’ve always been passionate about reading and writing. I was first published professionally aged fourteen. I started with short stories, then plays, and finally novels!

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

My current series is my USA Today bestselling complete five book enemies-to-lovers series REBEL ANGELS, which is about an epic war between angels and vampires with an anti-heroine at its heart. It’s a sort of Buffy meets Lucifer, where vampires and angels are locked in a deadly war. Half vampire/half angel but raised by humans, Violet is caught between both sides…who want her back.

I love rebels, dark vampires, sexy angels, and heroines who aren’t perfect but real. I was inspired by the idea of creating a new twist on the myth of angels and vampires, as well as the fact that there are so few British anti-heroines.

What are you working on now?

I’m working on the next series in my Rebel Verse, which is a supernatural world of vampires, shifters, angels, Fallen Angels, and fae, set in England: REBEL WEREWOLVES. It’s a shifter romance with rebel Omegas, incubus princes, and sexy Alphas.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I used to write screenplays, so I see what I write happening in front of me like a film. Along with that, I know the music that each scene needs because I’m a music fanatic. So, I either write with that song on loop, or in total silence.

What are your hopes for the future?

I’m loving writing the Rebel Verse, and there’s a number of exciting new Rebel series coming out this year. I’m looking forward to new readers discovering these worlds.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Only write what you’re passionate about. Publishing is a difficult business, but if you start from the point of truly caring about what you write, then it’ll see you through.
