Tell us a bit about yourself…

I’m Rachel Angel, and I like writing bold romances and thrillers that has a lot of steaminess, hot men, and strong sassy women.  My books have tons of twists and turns, and usually contain a mystery that is solved at the end.  My neurologist even says that she recommends my books that are especially steamy  because they are a great way to escape and use the imagination. It helps with pain relief and also Alzheimer. 

I am so grateful for my books being used as a way of escape and treatment.  

Also, one thing about me is, I am really the pen name for a million-selling author who writes in many genres. 

Have you always wanted to become an author? 

Yes, I have since childhood.  I wrote fantasy adventure stories with animals as lead. Like Watership Down, but with squirrels.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series? 

I have several series going on right now. For the Ruthless Reign Series, which comes to a close at the end of June, the inspiration is cartel/drug tv shows like Ozark, but here, the lead is a young woman who suddenly becomes the head of her family’s cartel, which had been kept a secret from her. My other series that recently ended is the HOUSE Series, which was inspired by classic murder mysteries, but with a hot Reverse Harem, a will, and a mystery that has to be solved within the will.

What are you working on now? 

I am working on an urban fantasy called Fae-B.I. Series, that has a reverse harm of fae men, with the FMC is a FBI trainee who is trying to solve the crimes around Las Vegas, which seemed paranormal. This is a spin-off series from my Fallen Fae Academy Series with the same characters. The first book comes out in July and is a juicy one, called Fae-ther Issues.

Do you have any quirks while working? 

I tend to write in spurts so I will sit for hours on end to get a lot written at once. This means I have all my snacks, drinks, and even music near me while I write.

What are your hopes for the future? 

To keep on coming out with addictive books for people who love reading steamy romances/thrillers!  I also have a few book series being adapted into tv series or films so we’ll see how that goes. I have some really good producers behind the adaptations so most likely it would happen, even if it takes a while.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world? 

Write what you love and even if it doesn’t fit the mold of a certain formula with a genre, do it because it may become a new way of telling the story in that genre. My books are a mixture and blend of different genres and don’t necessarily fit into one genre, but the readers who have discovered my books and loved them, it brings them a new enjoyment and escapism.
