Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Ophelia Bell and I am a dragon addict. Especially steamy hot dragons who live on orgasms and are always down for dirty fun 😀

I’ve been writing super steamy paranormal menage and reverse harem romance since 2014. Dragon shifters feature heavily in my world, which you can get acquainted with by reading my “Sleeping Dragons” series. It’s a mix of fantasy/contemporary. “Lara Croft meets Eragon” is the best way to describe my first series.

My newest series, “Fate’s Fools” is a more urban-fantasy themed spinoff, set in the same world, but just as steamy as all the others!

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I used to want to be an architect, but that didn’t quite pan out. Now I design and build entire universes inside my head and share them with the world.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

“Fate’s Fools” is actually a spinoff of my “Immortal Dragons” series, which is a spinoff of my “Rising Dragons” series, which is a spinoff of my flagship “Sleeping Dragons” series. I pretty much keep coming up with new ideas in this world. In Immortal Dragons, one of the heroines (from “Dragon Guardian”) gives birth to a very special baby who grows to adulthood in the span of a day. I wanted to write her story.

What are you working on now?

Finishing up the final book in my new series. “Nobody’s Fool” is book Five of Fate’s Fools and focuses on Ozzie North’s relationship with the heroine. For readers who have followed me for a while, this character’s HEA is way overdue. He first appeared in “Dragon Blues,” Book One of my Immortal Dragons series and has been screwed over by Fate for way too long.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I usually use my sex scenes as the “reward” for working my way through the boring parts (i.e. the plot). I love writing sex scenes the most 😀

What are your hopes for the future?

To have bajillions of adoring fans around the world! More realistically, I hope that I can continue to write deliciously dirty books well into my old age, and that my loyal readers keep reading to support me into retirement.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Life is too short not to write what truly makes your heart sing. It’s the packaging that will ultimately sell the book, but readers who come back for more will do so because of what’s inside, and if your heart isn’t in it THEY KNOW.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

You are the wind beneath my wings!
