Tell us a bit about yourself

I am married to my high school sweetheart and have two teenagers, a 10th grader and a freshman in college. By day, I teach middle school – scary stuff! – and by night, I spend time with family, write, volunteer at the animal shelter. I love coffee and animals.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes and no. I have thought about, even wrote a story in 3rd grade and went to the Young Author’s Festival. But as I got older, it was all about becoming a teacher.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

One of my best friends in book world asked if I wanted to join a group of author’s to write about villain’s getting their happily ever after. I said yes! So did my usual co-author Kendall Oliver. She had to join me – I begged. LOL.

What are you working on now?

I am working on the edits for a book, Ligon, I started in August of 2018 and finished (the first draft anyway) in June of 2019. My editor and I have been working on it in between the novella I released in December and the novel I just finished for the Mischief Matchmaker Series. I plan to release Ligon in May!

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I don’t know. LOL. I can write almost anywhere. Around people. People talking to me. After every chapter, I have to put it through Grammarly and fix it. Then, I tend to work on the content edits I see for that chapter before moving on. I will bug my friends if a certain part is confusing. I also like to finish a book now before my editor or awesome beta reader Mamaw sees it so she gets the whole picture.

What are your hopes for the future?

Honestly, to be as well known as Harper, Quinn, or Stacy. I’m super proud of their accomplishments! They have done so much in a short time. It’s amazing.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

NEVER GIVE UP! I have wanted to quit so many times. My friends keep me going.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Thank you for reading my books. Good, Bad, or (hopefully not) Ugly!

Tell us a bit about yourself

Hello! My name is Kasey and I’m a thirty-something-that-is-awesome bookworm from Canada.
Truth be told, I’m a huge nerd who loves terrible puns and books as thick as my thighs. I started writing seriously a little over a year ago and currently have thre different projects on the go. I know, I know – but I’m a Gemini and it’s practically a rule or something.
I tend to lean towards humorous dark stories – almost anything paranormal is my jam. I like to spend my weekends annoying my husband (it’s almost like an Olympic sport for me) and bouncing crazy story ideas off my friends.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes! For as long as I could remember, I knew someday I was going to make it happen.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Bella Claire and I just released a villain retelling based off the Little Mermaid. I’ve always been fascinated with the thought that every villain is the hero of their own story – and it’s something I plan on playing around with again in the future.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently working on the first book in what will be a dark but humorous necromancer x zombie rh series titled ‘No Strings Attached’.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I chew gum or drink an insane amount of water or coffee. Keeping my mouth busy helps me focus for some reason. Sometimes I will listen to the same song on repeat

What are your hopes for the future?

To continue to write books that people will enjoy and find a balance between writing and my full time job.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Dreams do come true so just keep writing. Don’t judge yourself on your first drafts. It takes time to refine your art and trust me… it’s worth it!

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Thank you – thank you – thank you!
I will forever be grateful for all the love and support this community has shown us. I can’t thank you enough for diving in and giving our book a chance. This is the first step of many that I hope you will take with me!
Without you, there is no me.

Tell us a bit about yourself

Well, I’m a scientist and a biomedic. I have one super cute fur baby who likes to stay cuddled with me while I read or write. And I’m seriously addicted to books and coffee. And baby yoda.

°

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I actually wanted to be a professional napper. But yes, since I can remember, I’ve wanted to be a writer. I’ve been writing poetry for over ten years now. And I’ve been playing with different story ideas for a really long time.

°

°

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

The forty thieves. Both the disney version (with Aladdin) and the original one.

°

What are you working on now?

I have two big works in progress.
The first one, Stolen Hearts, is a part of the Mischief Matchmaker Series. My book is a retelling of the forty thieves. But I gave my own twist to it. That’s a M/F paranormal romance.
My second WIP is called Trapped By Honor, and it’s a little inspired by Mulan, both the Disney movie and the legend. It’s always been my favourite movie and once I got wrapped in RH, the idea just came to me.

°

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I’m very easily distracted by anything, so I usually need peace and quiet. And I’ll get inspiration in the weirdest of places so I always have to have something in hand when an idea hits.

°

What are your hopes for the future?

I really want people to like my books. I want to be able to keep sharing my stories with others, have them take pleasure into reading them the same way I take pleasure in reading other people’s stories.
I also really really want to attend a book convention, both as an author and as a reader. Being able to connect with authors I admire, to get to know readers. That must be an amazing experience and I really want that.

°

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

I’m pretty new too, but I think the most important thing I’ve learned is that it’s okay to ask for help. It’s okay to not know things. The people in this community can be so amazing. They’re super supportive of each other and they are always willing to score a minute or five to answer questions and give advice. I’ve learned a lot from them.

°

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Having readers at all is already a dream come true, so the only thing I have to say is thank you. From the bottom of my heart. You make dreams come true.
