Missing (Kings of the East Book 4)

Bear has been living side by side with crime lords for so long, he wouldn’t recognize a normal life if he walked right into one. That’s why he doesn’t realize he already has one when he’s with Creed.

Since Bear’s baby brother went missing fourteen years ago, he’s stopped living. He’s been in the dirt, infiltrating every crime ring imaginable. Until the day he found him dead, nothing mattered but finding Gabe. Now, he only has one goal in life: destroying everyone who let it happen, including himself. He just never expected Creed.

Creed isn’t dumb. He knows when someone isn’t interested. When he met Bear at a local club, Bear’s incessant swinging between hot and cold should have driven Creed away. Creed doesn’t know what it is about Bear. There’s something in his eyes that has Creed constantly flinging himself against the brick wall Bear has built around himself. It’s possible Creed’s persistence will pay off someday and Bear will love him back… or maybe Bear’s nonstop lies and double life will get Creed killed.

Missing is the fourth book in Charity Parkerson’s Kings of the East series where underground crime runs the world. These books are best enjoyed when read in order.

Pretender (Kings of the East Book 3)

Alessandro wouldn’t say meeting Ender was love at first sight. It was definitely love by second glance, though. Too bad Ender is a liar.

While Alessandro is currently serving his second mafia boss, he plans to stop here. Back when he had been a bodyguard for Xiv’s father, Vlad, Alessandro had hated everything about this life, but people don’t quit crime lords. They wait until their bosses are dead or kill them themselves. Xiv is a different kind of crime boss, though. He’s a good man. Alessandro will do anything to keep Xiv in power. But Alessandro never expected Ender.

Ender is only loyal to one entity above himself: the Kapra. While the west coast mafia has no intentions of taking over the east, Xiv has caused problems for Ender’s boss in the past. That’s the only reason Ender is staying in the same town as Alessandro and ending up in the same places. He needs to keep an eye on Alessandro’s employer. At least, that’s what Ender keeps telling himself. That doesn’t explain the longing in his gut or why he keeps making excuses to stay.

When a young assassin meets a seasoned killer, sparks fly. But it’s only a matter of time before everything explodes around them. It’s possible no one will be left standing at the end. Pretender is the third book in Charity Parkerson’s Kings of the East. These books are best when read in order.

Cubs for Rent series by Charity Parkerson #amreading @CharityParkerso

First Loser (Cubs for Rent Book 1) by Charity Parkerson

°

Same situation. Different man. It’s a beautiful mess.

After falling for a male escort, and losing him through his own stupidity, Henry meets Tanner. Tanner is tall, dark, and handsome. He’s also young, wealthy, and doesn’t need Henry at all. But Henry is right back in the same boat he’s been in for years, paying someone half his age to spend time with him. Even though Tanner keeps refunding his money, Henry can’t let himself believe Tanner wants him for real. His mistrust is making him miserable, but Henry doesn’t know how to stop.

As one owner of Cubs for Rent—a company that rents men for dates, repairmen, or simply for company, Tanner doesn’t need anyone to take care of him. When he met Henry, Tanner’s only intention had been to get the man out of his friend’s hair. Then, Henry kept calling and booking time with Tanner. Tanner kept accepting and feelings he didn’t want grew. Henry is sweet and insecure. He’s gentle and awkward. Henry is everything that Tanner finds irresistible. It’s too bad Henry is also too blind to see Tanner’s interest as real, because Tanner is tired of trying to convince him.

When Tanner pulls away and meets someone his age, Henry will have to come out of his shell and step up his game. Hopefully, he’s not too late.

**Please note** Cubs for Rent is a Sugar Daddies’ spin-off and is best enjoyed when read in order.

Loyal never intends to fall back into the same role he played with Toby for years. Life doesn’t care about Loyal’s good intentions.

Toby has known Loyal most of his adult life. For a long time, he considered Loyal his best friend. There’s no way he’ll turn his back when Loyal needs him most, even if every second in Loyal’s company completely breaks him. Unfortunately, the more time Toby spends with Loyal, the more he can’t escape the truth. Loyal will always be the only one for Toby.

As one owner of Cubs for Rent—a business that rents men for dates, home repairs, or simply to keep someone company, Toby has countless men vying for his attention. Loyal is the only one he can’t shake. They’ll have to face the past and all its secrets if they hope to find their way. Tall order doesn’t even begin to describe that endeavor.

Author Charity Parkerson #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Charity Parkerson

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m Charity Parkerson and I’m best known for my MM romances. Over the last fourteen years, I’ve written over 200 books. It’s my addiction.

°

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I’ve always loved to write, but like most people, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. I just started writing one day and never stopped.

°

°

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Since I’m currently working on the 15th book in my Sugar Daddies series, I honestly can’t recall what inspired me to write the first one.

°

What are you working on now?

I have two books going at the same time: Sugar Enforcer and Salty Baby.

°

°

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I like for it to be completely quiet. It’s possible I get distracted easily, lol.

°

What are your hopes for the future?

I’d love to see my books become a movie. That’s my dream.

°

°

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

This is a business. You have to treat it like one or you’ll easily get lost in the sea of books available. If you love writing, take it seriously.

°

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

I love you all SO much! You’re the reason I’m allowed to keep doing what I love every day. Thank you.

Author Arizona Tape #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Arizona Tape

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m Ari, I live in the UK with my girlfriend, and I’m heading towards my mid-twenties. I spend most of my time working on my author business, but between those, I like taking video game breaks, whipping up some tasty food, and binge-watching whatever has
caught my attention.

A couple of fun facts that people might not know about me:

– I like drawing and painting

– I can play the piano and harp

– I love singing, even if it makes all the cats sing along

– I adore manga, anime, and anything Japanese. I’m dreaming of visiting Japan.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

My love affair with authordom has been a slow one.
The one thing I’ve been doing my whole life is telling stories. As a child, that would be in the form of drawing little stick figures with text balloons, I wrote a couple of stories here and there throughout school,
and I made up stories in my head all the time.

It wasn’t until my grey years hit in college that I started using my writing as an outlet to channel my feelings. Often, I wouldn’t understand what I was going through until I could look at it through the eyes of my characters. It took me another year or
two before I realised I could turn these stories into real books and try my hand at a career. As if bitten by the bookbug, I became obsessed overnight.

I published my first book, The Love Pill, started working on the next one, and about twenty books and two years later, here I am.

The Love Pill

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Not Today is based on my own experiences as a student in the rainbow world. I was a very active member of my student club and enjoyed all type of shenanigans that come with that. There were so many highs and memories I fondly remember, but overall, it was quite a dark time for myself emotionally. Almost all my friends were either depressed, suicidal, or had lots of issues they hadn’t processed yet. I was no different.

Years after the fact, I’m much more stable, but lots of young people out there aren’t. The aim for this particular book/series is to tell a tale that’ll resonate with them. To maybe spark some hope that it does get better?

And of course, for those after their student life, for a fond look back.

Not Today

What are you working on now?

I’m currently working on Valkyrie 101, an Urban Fantasy Academy series that explores elementals as guides for human souls to the afterlife. Ylva, my main characters, is training to become a Valkyrie and help the departed reach their desired destination.
In her case, Valhalla.

But there are many other types of Afterlife Assistants, and each of them have their own rituals, courses, and a different afterlife to serve. Purgatory, the World of Darkness, the Underworld, … It’s going to be an exciting ride with a lot of mythology,
an apocalypse, and a forbidden lesbian romance.

Valkyrie 101

Do you have any quirks while writing?

To really get in the writing zone, I like to put the same song on endless repeat and just hammer away at my keyboard with the same tunes blaring for hours on end. Next to that, I find it hard to write when someone else has view of my screen. I like my laptop
a little turned away.

I guess it’s my own version of the writing cave.

What are your hopes for the future?

I hope I never run out of stories to write. My imagination is my greatest asset and I hope it’s a well that never runs dry. I want to keep fantasising, I want to keep making up characters, and I want to take people on a journey they’ve never been on before.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

The threshold to become an author is really low, but the threshold to real success is incredibly high. I think that’s one of the things that people might not know when they start out.

It’s easy to start and easy to think you’ve made it when you hit publish on your first book. But if you’re looking for a steady stream of income, if you’re looking to make this a career that can sustain you, it’s a long and hard climb. Only hard work will
get you to the top and keep you there. There are no short cuts, no matter what anyone says.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Thank you. Without the support of my readers, I would never be where I am now. I have an incredibly supportive group of close readers and authors that mean the world to me. They’re the unicorns of the publishing world, the gold at the end of the rainbow,
and what makes being an author a worthwhile use of my time.

author-hans-hirschi

Hans M Hirschi (b. 1967) has been writing stories ever since he was a child. Adulthood and the demands of corporate life efficiently put an end to his fictional writing for over twenty years.
A global executive in training and channel development, Hans has traveled the world and had previously published non-fictional titles.

The birth of his son and the subsequent parental leave provided him with the opportunity to unleash his creative writing once again. With little influence over his brain’s creative workings, he indulges it, going with the flow.

A deeply rooted passion for, faith in a better world, in love, tolerance and diversity are a red thread throughout both his creative and non-fictional work. His novels might best be described as “literary romance, engaging characters and relevant stories that won’t leave you untouched, but hopeful.”

Hans is a proud member of the Swedish Writers’ Union and the Writers’ Center in Sweden.

~

– What genre do you write?

Multicultural romantic drama with an LGBT twist.

~

– Have you always wanted to be an author?

Not until high school. I actually wanted to be a professional singer or actor. I juggled all three for a few years, but I found my happy place with writing.

~

– Tell me 3 things about yourself that your readers don’t know.

  1. I’m a complication of emotions. I suppose that helps with my writing. I’m also easy going, but true to my zodiac sign, I can be a fierce lioness when I need to be.

  1. Raised as an only child, most people assume that I was spoiled. My mother wouldn’t allow it. Over the years, I spoiled myself too much. Now that I am older, I think I do have that personality.

  1. I’m an introverted person who totally enjoys being that way. It takes a lot of courage for me to step out of my safety zone and into the public realm. Being somewhat shy too doesn’t help me at all.
