Please give a warm welcome to author Kira Roman

Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a stay at home mom of two toddlers. My daughter is 4, and my son is 2. I spend most of my time taking care of them. My husband is gone a lot because he’s in the Navy!
I met him when I was 15, so we’ve been together a long long time.

Have you always wanted to become an author?
You know what’s funny, I used to write random stories in my journals, but I never thought I’d actually be good enough. In 2017 I discovered reverse harem, and was hooked. I started reading one book a week, using my husband’s money every chance I got, then I started KU, and OMG. It changed my life. I went through like 5-7 books a week. At some point, I thought “Hey, i might be able to do this.” I had no idea where to start though! It’s been a very long journey, and not all of it was good. But I’m so so glad I took that leap!
What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
The Devil’s Sin actually has a sad start. I grew up in a close knit family, and I had a cousin that was as close as a sister my whole life. We were only 3 years apart, and spent our whole lives growing up together. In 2019 she passed away. I felt like part of me left with her. I spent a lot of time working on a different story, and one day… The Devil’s Sin just came to me! I knew I wanted to write something that could express the heartbreak I was feeling, while also giving readers a decent story.

What are you working on now?
Stolen Succubus. Book 1.5 in the Dramonia series. The main female character is different from book 1, but her story is just as important.
A Touch of Violet. That’s my naughty contemporary RH romance lol.
Do you have any quirks while working?
I need a drink of some kind. Preferably wine. And my notebook. I have the memory of a goldfish.

What are your hopes for the future?
USA Today Best Seller! That would be a dream come true. But my ultimate goal is to earn enough to support my family. My daughter has special needs, and always will. I want to make sure she has a good life, and her future is secure.
Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Oh man. Well, first I’ll say be optimistic, but cautious. Find someone who has published before, and ask for advice. There are SO MANY steps! lol.
Do not let the 1 star reviews get you down. Someone will always have something bad to say. I like to read the 1 star reviews of authors I personally like.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?
You guys are the best. Seriously. If I didn’t have followers, mini fans, and supporters, I’d have no book! So Thank you! I honestly never thought ANYONE would like my work enough to follow me, but the fact that so many do, blows my mind!
