Tell us a bit about yourself?

I live in Texas with my husband, three children, and our pets. I’m addicted to Dr Pepper and bad boys with pretty eyes.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Absolutely not. I was the girl who hated reading, and I nearly failed Senior English because I had anxiety about learning how to write. It’s honestly a long story about how I started to write, but I’ll just say it was a way for me to grieve the death of my best friend who told me to share my life with others.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Nearly everything I write is inspired by my personal experiences, my love for mythology and fairy tales.

What are you working on now?

Currently, I’m preparing Jane’s Team: A Gods & Monsters Bizarro Universe. It’s a high school reverse harem that happens to also be an alternate reality for my Gods & Monsters characters.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

My husband says I yell more than usual. He’s lying, obviously.

What are your hopes for the future?

Only to build onto the worlds I’ve created. I’d love to see how far I can go with them. A tv series would be a dream come true.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Never let anyone tell you that you have to change something you don’t want to. Yes, it may be what people think they want, but I think it’s more about what we as authors know our characters want that makes great writing. Plus, you can’t please everyone—someone is always going to be there to hate on your work. You might as well be happy with it because the person telling you to change will not be there in the future.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Thank you for all the support through the years. You’ve watched me through some dark moments, and you’ve stuck by me when I was ready to give it all up. You’re goddesses and warriors. I adore you. But, sorry, Ryder, David, Luc, and Tercero are mine. Haha
