I survived the Blood Moon Ceremony… barely

Our pack is in ruins, ravaged by a traitor who left us to pick up the pieces.

My people need my help to rebuild, yet something went very wrong that night,

and I’m not the same wolf I used to be.

Now, I’m being forced into the Underworld

in a desperate attempt to unravel the darkness coiling within me.

The only creature able to prevent my magical overload

is a malevolent succubus who is sure to demand something in return.

And the way she ogles my men makes it clear she’s not to be trusted.

Let her look at me like I’m her next meal. She has no idea who she’s dealing with.

With my parents whisked into the Void, I have a pack to take care of, and Elders who will stop at nothing to kill me.

But my troubles don’t stop there.

The five delicious men I love are battling demons of their own and need me more than ever.

Can I be the alpha everyone is counting on, or will my failure tear our pack part?

Author Isobelle Carmichael #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Isobelle Carmichael

Tell us a bit about yourself.

Gosh, what is there to say. I’m from Northern Virginia. I love reading and pets. I’m involved with musical theatre when not writing. In fact, my work schedule prompted me to start writing because I am so used to being creative and I needed to fill the void. I’m married with no kids, but I have fur babies.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

It was always in the back of my mind, but fear held me back. I started with poetry and short stories. English was always my favorite and best subject. I read all the time, so I finally decided to give writing a go when my schedule opened up. Suddenly my nights spent rehearsing for musicals were free. As much as I love being a reader. I wanted something more. Queue my desire writing, and with some encouragement from friends, and here I am.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I love paranormal and fantasy genres. Ever since reading the Chronicles of Narnia, A Wrinkle in Time, Ender’s Game, and of course Harry Potter. I would get lost in these words. So when it was time to create my own books I went with what I loved reading. Magic, dragons, shifters, all of those things make me want to pick up those kinds of books. The idea for Blood Moon Magic born out of my crazy brain. I just started writing without thinking.

What are you working on now?

I’m working on my Elements of Twilight series, book one comes out March 4th, and book 2 is slated to come out in May, with the final in July. As long the muse speaks that’s the plan.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I like to watch Hallmark movies, or Lifetime movies, things I can semi pay attention to but still focus on writing. I like to sprint after a couple of glasses of wine as well. I have anxiety and so when I’m feeling blocked a glass of wine and sprinting is a great way to break through. Some of what I write is pure drivel, and sometimes it’s gold.

What are your hopes for the future?

I would love to get my second series off the ground this year. My hope is for a four-part high fantasy fae series, and then I have a BDSM novel on the books as well. There are so many other ideas in my head, but those are the ones most in the forefront of my mind.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

FInd your tribe, and keep them close. Ask for advice, and don’t let fear rule you. Make mistakes, write crap, revise, and keep moving. Editing will drain you but that’s where your tribe will come in. You need people that you know you can trust when you’re feeling low. It will happen and it’s ok. Find someone you trust who will help you, someone who’s honest but won’t break you down. I have some amazing ladies in my corner from my author friends, to my editors to my cover designer and my PA. Without them, I would have stopped ages ago.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?

Ohhh so weird thinking about having fans. All I can really is thank you so much! Thank you for reading my story, for taking a chance on a new author. Thank you for joining my group and sending me love. Your support keeps me going and I hope to give you something that’s fun to read in return.
