Tell us a bit about yourself

I live in the south, where I have a small farm. I have been married for eighteen years, and we have four kids (two teenage boys and two little girls).  I love anything that has to do with art. I like to paint and draw, take pictures, gardening and of course writing.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I always wanted to be but never thought that I could. I had so many problems in language and reading when I was young. I told myself stories every night as I went to sleep. My imagination has always had so much potential, and so when I decided to give it a try, the words have been flowing ever since.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I was writing another series and building this world and this legend kept coming up. I decided to write it in its own series and The Water Princess was born. At that time, also, I had discovered reverse harem and wanted to give it a try. Reverse harems, I think, are harder to write because you have to find a connection with many characters. It has been a challenge, but I have so much enjoyed it.

What are you working on now?

I’m actually working on that other series that got me unto The Water Princess. It is written a few hundred years in the future and the world has changed. The elementals have died out and now you have the Elemental Mages. There will be four mages with standalone stories, and each of them will have to choose their kings. They will intertwine in places for one overall story for those who enjoy longer series.

Do you have any quirks while working?

I don’t really but I do often work around chaos. I have a large family, and people are always around. I do try and do most of my writing in the night and have nodded off while writing.

What are your hopes for the future?

I always have a goal and not just one but many. I am a dreamer. Writing will keep me busy for a few more years, and then I plan to slow down a bit. I have several series I am working on publishing now and a few more I am looking to write.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

To make friends with others in the industry. You can’t do it alone, and it is always great when you have someone to turn to and ask questions. It also makes you feel good when you can help someone else.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you for reading and for giving me a chance. I am a very outgoing person and would love to chat with anyone who would like. I always say I am an open book and you can ask me anything. I would also say that I like to surprise people so you can expect that from me in the future. I have some really great books coming out soon, and I think you are all going to like it.

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Gina Manis. I am a new published author but have been writing for several years. I love romance books of any genre.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I have always wanted to be an author. I grew up loving books and wrote many short stories and poems. But I was discouraged and moved on as I grew up. It was only after giving up my career that I got back into writing. I am making a go of it now and don’t intend to give up.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

My inspiration for the series I have first published came from another book I was writing. I stopped working on it completely to write the legend that was within it. I am working on publishing both of the series now with the legend almost complete and the second series about halfway there.

What are you working on now?

Well I do have other projects I am working on also. I have an earlier series I have just started to get edited as well. It is about a concubine. That makes three projects in the works and one still on hold. On top of that, I constantly am writing down ideas for my future series. Let’s just say, I’m not going anywhere.

°

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I like to write outside when the weather is nice. I live out in the country and it is so quiet here. I love being in the silence and listening to the wind or the rustle of the leaves. I don’t mind the sound of one of my dogs barking, or a chicken chirping, the ducks quaking, or those stingy cows mowing. Maybe its not that quiet but at moments it is and I think that is when i connect most to writing.

What are your hopes for the future?

I built a business online already once, I don’t see why I can’t do it as an author. My past will see me into the future and I keep goals and plans I make. My five year goal is to have all may series publish and starting on new ones. That would be about 20 bookks published. When I say that number it scares me a little. But I have a good start with about 12 already written. By that time, I plan on having a good team working with me and keep them rolling out after that.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

It’s fun if you love it. I have met so many authors and they seem to be some of the happiest people ever. Take your time and do it right. Let it show in your writing.

°

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

I write not to disappoint. My books focus on so many issues and I like to give my character a real person vibe. I show their flaws, their mistakes and then I show their passions and why you should love them. I like to tie into an adventure to explorer, with human growth that can inspire. I don’t know if I meet those demands I put on myself but I hope to get there someday.
