Tell us a bit about yourself
My name is Kat, I live in west wales with my two crazy kids, two crazy dogs and two crazy chinchillas. Yeah, I may have mild OCD with even numbers. By day I’m a scientists and by night an author. I have loads of books floating around this brain of mine so stay tuned as it’s all down hill from here.

Have you always wanted to become an author?
In all honestly no, it never I though it possible. I’m extremely dyslexic so the thought of writing a novel with over 50k words that people would actually want to read seems like a impossible task.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
I don’t know really, I kind of wondered what the world would do when the population becomes to much and the world runs out of resources and being a person with paranoid tendency, the plot of the book is where my brain went. So I spoke to my co-writer and told her and she was like OMG that would make an amazing book. It just blew up from there.
What are you working on now?
At the moment I’m trying to write three books. So The Cure Within which is book two of The Hidden Cure, The Reaper Files and A Date with Danger.

Do you have any quirks while writing?
I have to listen to music, and it has to fit the scene in writing. So if it’s a fighting scene, I play heavy metal. If it’s a sad scene I play sad music. Also tea, I tend to drink loads of tea when I’m writing.

What are your hopes for the future?
That people enjoy reading books. Books have helped me in bad, dark times in my life and if I can even just help one person with one of my book, then my job is done!

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Keep a good group of people around you, it can be very scary and hard at time, but your alpha and beta readers are there to help you not just with your writing. Having someone tell you to keep writing and that it’s good can make the different between starting and finishing a book.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?
Oh wow I don’t really know, thank you for reading my words. Thank you for taking a gamble on me. Thank you for helping me want to carry on writing. I will be eternally great full.
