Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m an escape room enthusiast, stay-at-home mom of three, and reverse harem writer who enjoys trolling my husband.

While I have degrees in Art History, Information Systems, and Library Science, I don’t use any of them except for random tidbits of information that help me at trivia night and in my writing.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Absolutely not. I’ve always been a reader, never confident enough that I had a story worth telling. Then one day there was this hilarious post in RHRA and I wrote this short about it jokingly, which a lot of people loved. Mercy DeSimone loved it so much, she messaged me a second chapter, and the co-writing thing just kind of took of from there. Ultimately, that turned into Railed.

Now, I’m just writing things that I would want to read. Which honestly, is half the fun.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

The current release I have coming up is A Pinch of Sass, which I co-wrote with Jarica James. I love the holidays, and St. Patrick’s Day is coming up. We were chatting one day and I said ‘What if three burly Irishmen shifted into three wee leprechauns?’ The ideas snowballed from there and it turned into a hilarious standalone that I absolutely adore.

What are you working on now?

I’m finally working on my first solo debut book, The Rites: Ethos Society Part One. It’s about a kick ass former FBI profiler who gets recruited into a secret society and everything that goes on subsequently. It’s funny, suspenseful, and has a dash of mindfuck. I’m shooting for a May release.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I don’t write linearly. I write the scenes and sections that speak to me the most, the ones that I have to get out first. Then I go back and connect all the dots and add in the details.

What are your hopes for the future?

That they finally release the last season of Game of Thrones before I forget everything that has happened.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

My two pieces of advice would be to be proud of what you produce, and to find your tribe. In regards to the former, there will be trolls to your work. It’s a sad part of life that some people feel the need to put others down. At the end of the day, if you love what you’ve written, if you’re proud of the hard work you’ve put into it, then that’s what matters.

Which leads me to my next point of finding your tribe. Surround yourself with people that not only support you, but inspire you as well. I have a solid group of women that I talk to daily that I met in the RH community and I’m forever thankful to them for all their love and laughs.
