Pre-Order Renegades Exiled (Soldiers of Blood and Ruin Book 1) by @RowanThalia

Renegades Exiled (Soldiers of Blood and Ruin Book 1)

BioWar, World War III

Sixty years ago, the first shot was fired.

In the last ten years, our country has fallen. Chemical agents dropped mercilessly on friend and foe alike have created two new humanoid species and the world population has been reduced to small colonies of humans fighting against them to survive.

Out on a routine patrol, my team and I run into the worst kind of trouble. Branded and left for dead by our superiors, we form bonds that cannot be broken and find asylum with the enemy.

Seeking knowledge, my team of four and I race across the wasteland for the one thing that can give us answers: a sample of untainted DNA. Fighting zombies, mutants, and our own transformation. Aligned with vampires and on the run… We thought things couldn’t get worse until a hidden threat finds me.

When conspiracy is the norm, who can I trust?

The war is not over. The fight between the species has just begun.

Preorder Lakeborn by @VictoriaLarque #amreading

Eyes as deep as the bottom of her lake. A heart as wide and alive as the forest surrounding it. A voice as soft as the wind rustling through trees and as melodic as waves on pebbled ground. A power that is rooted within her very soul, the soul of her lake. She passes time flipping stones and dipping her toes. She has never asked for anything but peace. This is her lake. The lake of dreams, the lake of truth, the lake of life. And she will do anything to defend it.

Horror Author Boris Bacic #interview

Please give a warm welcome to horror author Boris Bacic

Tell us a bit about yourself…

My name is Boris Bacic and I’m a horror writer from Serbia. I’m a certified fitness coach and a former language and communications coach. In my free time, I go to the gym, I take creepy late-night walks through parks and forests, and recently I started learning more about botany (balance is important).

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes! Ever since I was a child, I used to write stories all the time. As I grew older, I could envision myself sitting in front of a typewriter (now computer) and making my imagination come to life. It’s a job, but it doesn’t feel like one to me.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

All my inspiration comes from daily life. I see something otherwise mundane, and my mind transforms it into something otherworldly. What if this road is on an endless loop? What if there’s a secret government lab under this abandoned house? What if this mannequin comes to life right now? We all have that kind of imagination; writers just let it run wild.

What are you working on now?

While I can’t reveal the exact story, I can say that the book is based on my hometown, which is number one in suicides in Europe. It will be full of suspense and hair-standing-straight moments that will have you clutching your flashlight like your life depends on it.

Do you have any quirks while working?

For me, it’s important to envision being in the world that I’m creating. Sometimes I listen to ominous horror music while writing to get into the element. I also need a quiet environment. It’s difficult to maintain momentum when you’re constantly interrupted by phone calls and social media notifications.

What are your hopes for the future?

My motto is “I won’t stop writing until I’m either famous or dead.” That path is paved with tiny steps, and for now, the next thing I hope for is getting more recognition for my books – either getting acquired by a major publishing company or having my book adapted into a movie.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Don’t stop writing.

When I first started publishing my stories, they barely received any recognition. I wrote one more story and told myself that if I didn’t get enough likes, I would quit. Luckily, that story boomed and that helped me launch my first book. Today, I have more than 15 published books and I work full-time as a writer. You never know how close you are to achieving your goals.

Never stop writing.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you for all your support. None of this would be possible without you. I receive emails from readers telling me how much they enjoy my stories, and for me, that’s the true joy of writing.

Author Cerise Rose #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Cerise Rose

Tell us a bit about yourself…

I’ve been writing since I was a child but did not become a published author until 2019 under a different pen name. When I am not writing I work as a Fraud Analyst in the gaming industry, which does not get incorporated into my writing. LOL

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I have always wanted to be an author and when I finally published my first book, it was one of my dreams that came true.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I have all kinds of inspiration whether it’s from different types of movies or music. I don’t write one type of PNR book – I want to dabble in a variety, though vampire is my favorite.

What are you working on now?

Currently, I am working on a dark contemporary called N.S.F.W. which can mean Not Safe For Work or Not Safe From Willa. It is essentially a temp with a huge chip on her shoulder centered on men in the corporate world who have overstepped their boundaries.

Do you have any quirks while working?

Not really that I can think of.

What are your hopes for the future?

I am essentially starting over after striking my established author name. However, my hopes is to finally see that coveted orange banner on my book or books.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Never give up your dream. Even if things get rough and you need to make changes in your career, never stop, always keep going. There are so many days I want to quit, but then I remember the reason I write in the first place.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

I have my Rose Buds and my followers who have been with me through everything and owe them a debt of gratitude. To my new followers, I can’t thank you enough in advance for helping me see my book dreams come true.

Author Daria Binx #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Daria Binx

Tell us a bit about yourself…

I’m Daria Binx, a reverse harem indie author. Currently I have two books published in my series, Misfits of the Fae Realm (Misfit Princess and Misfit Betrayal). I live in Southern California, U.S.A. I’ve been married to my husband for 15 year and I have 4 kids. In my everyday job I work as a licensed nurse with special education students in the school district. I am obsessed with The Golden Girls, Hello Kitty and Disney. Fun Fact: My husband and I met while working together at Disneyland.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Funny thing about this question – I was asked this same question by a reader in an author party I was participating in and I almost answered no, never. But a memory triggered and I had a flashback to when I was a teenager. I was in my room and I had just finished watching the 10th Kingdom (it was released in the 90’s) and I was attempting to write a story. I didn’t get very far with it and I wound up tossing it aside because I thought it was stupid. I didn’t attempt to write again until maybe 2 or 3 years ago when my husband suggested I try to write a book because of how much I was obsessively reading. I remember looking at my husband and thinking he was crazy. But later that night inspiration hit and I began writing my Misfits of the Fae Realm series.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I’ve always loved fairy tales, fantasy, and magic. I’m also an LVN (licensed nurse) so nursing is ingrained in my soul. One night while I was sitting in the living room with my family, my younger son did something and it sparked the story idea. My early writings for Misfit Princess began.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently plotting out the story for the 3rd installment of the Misfits of the Fae Realm series as well as a few other series. I have so many plot bunnies!

Do you have any quirks while working?

I don’t think any that are far out there. If I’m in the writing stage I’ll play some music – nothing in particular. M&M’s were a staple for a short while but have changed it up. Coffee is usually nearby as well.

What are your hopes for the future?

I would love to keep writing. I have so many story ideas planned and I would just like to have the chance to get them all written. A big dream would be to be able to retire and write full time.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

I think one of the main things is that everyone’s journey is different. You can’t compare your successes to others. It’s hard, I am aware of that, but just remember that you achieved greatness by getting your book published. That in itself is a momentous occasion.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

When I started this journey my whole goal was to only sell 1 book, and that it wasn’t a family member that bought it. I am forever grateful and thankful for all the readers who have read my books or have it on their TBR lists. The readers are the ones who give me the confidence to continue and keep pushing through the anxiety and the doubt. Thank you!

Author Colette Rhodes #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Colette Rhodes

Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Colette, I live in New Zealand with my husband and toddler. I’ve been writing and publishing as an indie author for the past year now.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

It’s always been my dream career, but I never seriously contemplated pursuing it! I wasn’t really aware of the indie publishing route until 2019. Even then, when I wrote my first book in 2020 it was more of a challenge to me. Publishing it was a spontaneous decision that has opened up an exciting world of opportunities I never could have predicted.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

My latest book, Blood Nor Money, is a vampire reverse harem romance that was inspired by Porcia Catonis, a rather tragic figure from Ancient Rome. I majored in Ancient History and there are so many historical figures whose stories have inspired me, I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to write about all of them!

What are you working on now?

I just finished writing Blood Nor Money, so I’m currently doing the release day preparations for that. It was my longest book yet, and my first romantic suspense. It’s been a blast to work on, but I’m excited to get started on new projects too, once this is out.

My next series is a beach town contemporary reverse harem and I’ve been itching to get started on it. It’s summer in my part of the world and I’m full of ideas for this book.

Do you have any quirks while working?

I quite often lie on the floor while I’m working because I find it more comfortable than sitting at a desk! I also like to listen to movie scores when I’m writing an intense scene, as lyrics get too distracting.

What are your hopes for the future?

I hope to keep telling the stories I love and connecting with amazing readers. I’d love to attend an event one day and meet some readers face-to-face, once the world opens up again.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Have faith in yourself and your work, network as much as you can with the wider book community, and invest in a proofreader right off the bat.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Just a ginormous thank you for everything! For reading my books, leaving reviews, being so supportive about my new projects. You’re all amazing x
