Author Addison/Adara Wolf #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Addison/Adara Wolf

Tell us a bit about yourself…

Hi everybody! I’m Addison/Adara Wolf. My dark MF works are under the name Addison Wolf, my dark MM stuff under Adara Wolf. I primarily write, well, dark romance. Protagonists who are unredeemable and relationships that are extremely toxic. I wouldn’t want to date any of my main characters IRL, but they sure are fun to write and read about!

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I have been writing for fun since I was around 14, but if I’m honest, I didn’t consider it as a full time profession until I was in the middle of my first real job and absolutely hating it. I wrote Under His Heel (dark m/m) for fun, not really intending to monetize it, but it grew extremely long! And things had gotten very sour at work, so publishing this book allowed me to leave a toxic situation.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Raissa Donovan (my now co-author) and I were chatting about branching out into a new genre. We knew we wanted to write dark, and reverse harem sounded very fun, especially since it allowed us to include some bisexual men in our story. We chatted out ideas, throwing in all the fun kinks we definitely wanted to add, until we got to Breaking Lucia.

What are you working on now?

We just finished Book 2 in the Spoils of Victory series, Taming Lucia, and we’re gearing up to start writing the third one. We have it planned out, but as always things will probably change while we’re writing. On the m/m side, I’m working on a spin-off for Under His Heel, Leashing His Heart, featuring a rich young man out of his depths and a criminal who is finding out just how hard he can push the boundaries.

Do you have any quirks while working?

Not so much quirks, but I can’t work with music playing, most of the time. The lyrics distract me! If I think it’s too quiet, I’ll pop on some instrumental music.
… Oh, and anybody who knows me can tell you, but I spend way too long researching tiny details that will often never make it into my books.

What are your hopes for the future?

I’d love to be able to make this my full time job. I’m not there yet, but I changed day jobs mid-2021 and my goal for 2022 is to grow my author business. If I can figure out how to juggle my day job with my author job, I want to get back into painting, as well. I did a few paintings for my home office and had so much fun with it.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

If you’re self-publishing, the most important thing is to have a plan! Plan out what you’re going to write for the next year, and stick to a schedule. Marketing is important too (don’t skimp on covers) but the best thing you can do is be consistent.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you so much to everybody who has supported me these past few years. I appreciate everybody who has read my books. I love reader comments and seeing people’s reactions to my characters really warms my heart. Thank you so, so much. 💖
As a thanks to all our readers, Raissa and I have written a little holiday extra story, titled Giving Lucia.

Teasers –Taming Lucia, releasing on Dec 28

The last dress I’m holding is black, knee-length, with a wrap design. It shows a bit of cleavage, but not as much as the white dress, and it still has thick straps and a covered back. Elegant, but still appropriate for work without being completely sexless.
“This one,” I say, pulling the dress off the hanger. “Raise your arms, Lucia.”
“I can dress myself,” she tells me, reaching out for the dress instead of obeying.
I unzip the back of the dress and shrug. “I’m sure you can. You can wear it by yourself too. I just finished clearing out one of the closets for you, we could hang you up there with the rest of the dresses.”
Angelo smirks.
All the color drains from her face. She quickly raises her arms in the air. “That won’t be necessary,” she says.
I pull the dress over her head and shoulders and nod at her. “Good girl.”
I don’t miss her quite tangible reaction to the words. A tremor runs through her, and her breath catches. I don’t think she even realizes she’s responding so beautifully to the praise.
She lets me pull the dress down over her body, hiding the bright red lingerie, and I zip it up in the back before circling around her to inspect her. It’s a good fit, just like I knew it would be, and it’s perfect for the meeting. She’s quiet, glancing at me uncertainly.
I let my hands roam over her body while I pretend to inspect it. I cup her breasts, trail soft touches down her stomach, and squeeze her ass. She tenses, her lips trembling, but she doesn’t move away from me.
There’s a certain thrill I get, knowing that I’ve molded my partner just to my liking. Lucia isn’t quite there yet, but she looks good in the clothes I picked for her. I have jewelry for her too, and I look forward to brushing her hair.
Then Angelo wolf-whistles. “Looking very, very nice, Princess.”
She startles, obviously having been caught in the moment I was where it was just the two of us. She glances over at him, rolling her eyes. “You’d think that no matter what I was wearing. You’d even find something you liked about the nun clothes.”
I give Angelo a cold glare. “If you can keep your mouth shut, you can stay and masturbate. Otherwise, leave.”
Angelo’s eyebrows rise. “So far, I haven’t seen anything worth jerking off to.”
“And there won’t be anything worth jerking off to,” Lucia says. “Right, Victor?” Like that’s going to make me agree with her.
A quick glance at my alarm clock shows there’s still twenty-five minutes before the meeting. Plenty of time. I brush my thumb over Lucia’s lips. “Mouth or cunt?”

Author Annabel Allen #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Annabel Allen

Tell us a bit about yourself…

Well, I’m a full-time author/freelance writer living in Ontario, Canada. I write under my birth name as well as Annabel Allan, though I keep the spicier subjects more for Annabel! Haha.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I actually have not! I always enjoyed writing, but for most of my life, I wanted be a scientist, a Palaeontologist. Dinosaurs were always my jam! Once I hit high school though, I wanted to tell stories, turning more towards film. Then I discovered I really can’t tell a story successfully through visuals…so I fell back on writing. I just fell in love with it!

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

The Goode Pain series has an interesting past. I wrote the core of the book as a different novel, meant for a different type of series. It was rejected, so I shelved it. Then I was asked to write short stories for a friend, which he mentioned he wanted one about a kick ass Dominatrix. I actually started on the short story (which was titled “Goode Pain”) and by the time I finished what is now the first chapter, I thought man! I need to make this a novel. Then I remembered what an instructor in film school said, that I should flip the dynamic to make things more interesting. So, I took the old manuscript and rewrote it. I then retitled it “Edgeplay”.

What are you working on now?

Right now, I’m doing rewrites on my original vanilla series Smoke Chaser. The first two books are released, but I felt the third book was the weaker link, so I’m doing rewrites and edits on it.

Do you have any quirks while working?

It depends on the manuscript as well as what time it is during the day when I’m writing! Haha. If I’m writing at night, I tend to put on music while writing, which isn’t very quirky. But if I’m writing during the day, I HAVE to put on a movie. And that movie…is usually Jurassic Park! Weird to write BDSM when you have people running from escaped dinosaurs! Haha.

What are your hopes for the future?

I think like most authors, I hope for the bestseller status. I went a long while without my writing supporting me, but things are finally working out in that area. But I would love that little orange banner on Amazon saying “Bestseller”!

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Do your research! It’s super important to either find someone who can mentor you OR do your own research on how publishing works. I love to answer questions about publishing and writing, so if anyone wants to reach out to me, they definitely can!

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Just that I appreciate them! I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read my work. AND please leave a rating and review! Reviews feed authors! 🙂

Author Golden Angel #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Golden Angel

Tell us a bit about yourself

Golden Angel is a USA Today best-selling author, Amazon Top 50 bestselling author, and self-described bibliophile with a “kinky” bent who loves to write stories for the characters in her head. If she didn’t get them out, she’s pretty sure she’d go just a little crazy.

She is happily married, old enough to know better but still too young to care, and a big fan of happily-ever-afters, strong heroes and heroines, and sizzling chemistry.

She believes the world is a better place when there’s a little magic in it.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

No, actually, I didn’t think it was possible as a career for me, even when I first started publishing. I’ve always loved reading and writing and maybe there was a time when I was a kid that I wanted to be one (in between wanting to be a dolphin trainer and an Olympic swimmer) but deep down I always thought my most-likely career path was as a teacher. This is not a place I expected to end up, but if I’d ever thought it was actually possible, it would have been very high on my list.

What was your inspiration for your current book /series?

Well, I’m in the middle of writing three series right now, all of which are spinoffs of other series.

The first book in my Deception and Discipline series, which is set in my Bridal Discipline series’ world, released back in January and was inspired by my love of Stephanie Laurens’ Cynster and Bastion Club books as well as my love of combining historical romance with kink and spankings.

In April and May, the first books in my Masters of Marquis and Dungeon Masters series are releasing, and they are both connected to each other as well as my Stronghold Doms world. Bondage Buddies, the first Masters of Marquis book, came about because I love a good friends-with-benefits turned to love romance. Mitch and Domi were introduced in the Stronghold Doms series and I knew eventually they’d be getting their own story. The hero of Dungeon Master, Gavin, first appeared in Logan, my Dad Bod Doms book, but he also appears in Bondage Buddies… as Mitch’s dad. Then in May he’ll get his own book.

The Dungeons and Doms series was inspired by a meme I kept seeing go around, saying it was possible to tell the difference between a nerd and a kinkster by asking them what a Dungeon Master was. The issue I have with that meme is that I am a nerd, and I know that there’s a lot overlap between D&D players and kinksters (also cosplayers and Rennaissance Fair goers…). So I wanted to write a book with a hero who was a Dungeon Master in both sense of the words, and I’ve also had a lot of requests for romances with older heroes / heroines and this seemed like a great opportunity to really dig into that.

What are you working on now?

Right now I am neck deep in Dungeon Master, though I’m getting close to the end. After this, I’ll be jumping into writing the third Tsenturion Masters book (sci-fi romance) with my co-writer for that series, Lee Savino.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I need constant feedback, so my poor beta readers are more like alpha readers. They get a chapter almost daily from me (except on weekends), sometimes two, and are often fielding question from me like “Is this too slow?” “Is it boring?” “Do you think things are happening too fast?” “Does this whole thing suck?”

What are your hopes for the future?

Oh so many. I am thrilled that I was able to become a full-time author in 2020. I am hoping to be able to maintain that and keep living the dream of being an author. Last year I also became a USA Today Bestselling Author, but I’d love to add Wall Street Journal and New York Times to that. If I had to choose though, I’d choose being the full time author over the accolades.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

It’s not easy. That’s the first thing. Some people go into this thinking that it’s easy money, and it’s not. It’s a lot of work, and (sadly) most of the work has nothing to do with actually writing your book. Which makes using a publisher look particularly enticing, but be careful because there are predators out there.

There is also SO MUCH information on the internet. Find the author groups on Facebook, read through the posts – and don’t try to do everything at once, but also take advantage of the epic amount of information that’s out there to help you. I also highly recommend David Gaughran’s Starting from Zero web course (it’s free, just Google it). I would have killed to have all this information available when I was first starting out, but you’d better believe I’m making use of it now.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you. From the bottom of my heart. Being a full time author is not a solo dream, it’s not something I could have achieved on my own. It literally takes a community. Anyone who reads my books, who takes the time to review them, to recommend them, to share my social media posts, to give them a rating… thank you, so much. You have made it possible for me to become a full time author and I will try to repay that by writing more books for you to read as quickly as possible!

Once Upon A Wolf by Scarlett Snow and Tiegan Clyne #newrelease

Once Upon A Wolf: A Dark Academy Reverse Harem Romance (Everafter Academy Book 1) by Scarlett Snow and Tiegan Clyne

°

Once upon a time a wolf took everything away from me. I’m here to return the favor…

When the Big Bad Wolf and his pack of witch hunters murdered my family, I made a deal with the Devil in exchange for revenge.

Giving him my soul was the easy part.

Surviving Everafter Academy… now that deserves a medal.

I’m not the Red Riding Hood everyone thinks I am. I’m Ravyn, the witch with a deep, dark secret, and I’m only at this school to hunt down my family’s killer. If pretty boys Erik, Christopher, and Gideon think they can make my life hell just because I’m different, they’re in for a surprise.

I’m going to make these Prince Charmings regret the day they ever wronged me.

Everything I do is chaos. Everything I touch turns to darkness. They can call me a monster because that’s exactly what I am.

My heart isn’t meant to be won over or broken. It’s meant to be feared.

With a trio of jealous princesses determined to put a hex on me, a magical school full of ‘good’ fairy tale creatures that despise my kind, secrets galore, and a headmaster whose dark desires rival my own, I’m here to prove that even villains deserve their happily ever after.

Mine just involves bloodshed, blackmail, and sweet sinister revenge.

What can I say? I’m a Darkblood. It’s in my nature.

Now sit back and let me tell you how fairytales REALLY go. It all starts with the Devil’s Altar…

Everafter Academy is a Dark Reverse Harem Bully Romance. Each fairytale creature has been modernized and thrown into a world of magic, depravity, and allure, and Ravyn will never choose which path—or man—she truly wants. Why choose when she can have them all?

Themes: bully, forbidden romance, student/teacher, D/s relationship
Genres: reverse harem, academy, fantasy, fairytale
Heat Level: Scorching-hot, consensual scenes that are for 18+ only.
