Author Amber Nicole #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Amber Nicole

Tell us a bit about yourself…

Hi I’m Amber,
I am a mom to two amazing kids Lawson (9) and Allison (4)
I have been an Air Force wife for 13 years to my high-school sweetheart.
I love to cook, bake, read, sing, write, as well as write poetry and songs and also I love to proofread and edit.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

So I never imagined I would be a writer. I have always loved to write fun little stories when I was younger I have so many notebooks full of random things.

I actually thought I would be a professional chef for awhile there but when I learned I wouldn’t have holidays or weekends off we decided it wasn’t the best thing for me.

I also was looking into joining a publishing house as an editor.
I have always been an avid reader and thought that would be the perfect job for me. I have been told time and time again that I have eagle eyes when it comes to mistakes.

I alpha and beta for so many amazing authors.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

So I have recently learned since I started writing that I can no longer watch TV/ movies or even some music videos. I end up getting inspired and a new WIP appears.

Forever Changed was inspired on a few things:
1. The movie Cruel Intentions
2. A music video
3. Ivy Smoak’s untouchable series she broke me in the beat way and I knew my next book wouldn’t have an HEA. Well that’s Changed now that so many people yelled at me but at still ended up with a crazy cliffhanger.

What are you working on now?

I am working on Forever Yours. Its part two to the Forever Changed duet.

Do you have any quirks while working?

I like to go into a bubble and I can’t be distracted. Any noise bothers me. I like to snack on chocolate covered almonds or reisen candies. I also only write my spicy scenes in a bubble bath.

What are your hopes for the future?

To keep doing this. It can be stressful at time but I love it. I’d like to be able to do this full time and support my family. Maybe let my husband retire from the Air Force and be a stay at home dad.

Forbidden Truths

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Keep at it. Find your tribe. There are so many amazing, supportive people and authors out there that are willing to help. If this is something you are passionate about I say go for it.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

I am so humbled and blessed to have found my calling and to have all of you incredible people supporting and helping me achieve my dreams.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for loving my books and connecting to my characters.
