Excerpt:

From Summer’s Point-of-View:

Drew said, “You’re gonna marry me, aren’t you?”

“I’ll think about,” I would joke, feeling secure in our love and being together.

“Really, Summer? You have to think about it?” He kissed me gently at first on my forehead. Next came a light peck on the tip of my nose. Before I can say anything, his lips crashed down on mine, kissing me with such sensuality, I felt like he was going down on my mouth. I was arching my back, writhing underneath him, and feeling close to climaxing when he pulled away.

Suddenly I felt cold and empty as Drew collapsed next to me on the bed. He turned to me and grinned. “Admit it, Summer, you nearly had a Drewgasm from that kiss, didn’t you?”

Drew and his Drew-isms. I had to laugh.

“Nah,” I said, “Just from a kiss? No one can get an orgasm from just a kiss.”

Drew traced his finger on my lips before dipping it into my mouth. “The tremors I felt from you were just you reacting to the cold, wasn’t it?”

“Uh huh,” I said, getting hot as Drew used his fingers to dip in and out of my mouth before he traced his fingers down my neck and leaned his head down to dip his tongue into my mouth, where his fingers had been. He moved over me and rubbed his naked body against mine, lightly and then vigorously, his hot skin barely touching the tips of my breasts while his mouth played with mine.

“You feel nothing at all?” Drew asked, his warm breath tickling my ears.

“Nothing,” I said, gritting my teeth as he lowered his body to grind the heated part of him against the part of me that wanted him so badly. He simulated lovemaking with me, pumping and grinding against me to the point I almost cried out.

“Nothing?” he asked, now pushing up against me with his entire lower body, pumping me up until I was climbing up the wall with my back. I was being pounded against the wall, and it had never felt so good.

The Nest

 syl

At times we are like baby birds in a nest

Crying out and waiting to be fed

We know that day will come soon

When we must sum up the courage and take flight

Yes we feel all too secure in the confines of our nest

Afraid to seek out and discover the gift of life

Yet the time will come one day baby bird

And your wings will be fully capable of carrying you

On that day let go of your fear

Take flight and spread your wings

Soar through the spacious skies and glide with the gentle winds

Trust in a loving God

And discover his gift of life

Sylvester L. Anderson – bio

 20140725_072151

I was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  I started writing poetry in high school and had a love for creating with words. I grew up listening to top 40 radio, where the music was so diverse in style, sound, and lyrics. I count The Beatles as one of my influences. In October of 2012, I published my first poetry collection “Life through Celestial Lenses”. It was a blessing to accomplish this. Something I had been striving for since after high school. In May of 2013, I published my second poetry collection, “The Darkness, The Light, And the Glory”, and in March of this year, 2015, I publish my third collection “Heartspeak ~ God and Love”. I write to inspire and to share God’s love and light, and occasionally poke fun at myself. My books can be found at

What genre do you write?

I mostly write poetry but I’ve been known to dabble in fan fiction and stories about magic Zeppelins.

Have you always wanted to be an author/poet?

Interesting question.  I’ve always been writing (and sometimes scaring my elementary school teachers in the process).

I know I’ve always wanted to be myself and make a difference, which writing seems to help.

Tell me three things your readers might not know.

  • I’m terrified of uncertainty. Writing helps me face my fears, but driving to strange places, relationships, even the dark at times can overwhelm me.  Also, death. I really don’t want to die.
  • I’m addicted to caffeine: soda, coffee, tea. Everything but energy drinks. Apparently, I draw the line somewhere.
  • I head a local poetry group where we meet every month to share words, thoughts, and other suggestions.

~

My poems in “Triptychs” are inspired by some thought-provoking (and beautiful) photographs. For the first Think Green I thought of my mother. She’s always had a green-thumb and seems to think days are best spent outside doing some form of yard work. It’s not a bad thing, unless you have poetry to write or lessons to plan, but I know I’ll miss it when she’s gone.  My second poem “Dry dock” was a take on nostalgia. Martin’s photograph reminded me of age and the danger of complacency. Writers can be guilty of over-dreaming and I’ve tried to get outside and live as much as I write: but it’s hard when there are books to read.
