Tell us a bit about yourself…

Hi! I’m Mariah Ankenman and I write sassy and swoon-worthy romance. When I’m not writing or reading I can be found watching horror movies (bonus point for creature features), infusing vodka (and drinking it, lol), or flying on a sling/hoop apparatus in my aerial classes.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Sexy firefighters. I could elaborate, but really I think that’s all anyone needs to know;)

What are you working on now?

Currently I’m working on the third Mile High Firefighters Book: The Firefighter’s Dilemma. It’s Ward and Díaz’s story and it’s going to be so good!

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I cannot listen to any music. I can only listen to the sounds of storms. If I listen to music it just turns into a karaoke session and I get no writing done, lol. 

What are your hopes for the future?

I hope to have a book with a print run some day and it would be amazing to hit a big list, but honestly as long as my books bring people joy, I’m happy.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Take every bit of advice with a grain of salt (even mine). Do your own research. There’s no one right way to write a book or publish. All publishing is valid, you just need to take the path that works for you. 

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you so much for all the love and support, an author is nothing without their readers. I hope to bring you stories of love and happiness for years to come!
