Author Lexi C Foss #interview

Please give a warm welcome to author Lexi C Foss

Tell us a bit about yourself…

Hi! My name is Lexi. I’m a quirky author who loves exploring the twists and turns of dark paranormal worlds, especially those haunted by vampires and shifters.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I’ve always been a dreamer. I didn’t fully understand what that meant career-wise until after college when I started writing one day. It started as a way to pass the time and quickly grew into an obsession as the voices started unloading inside my mind. I sometimes can’t keep up with how fast they tell me a story, it’s like watching a movie and transcribing it all for others to review.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

My inspiration typically comes from traveling. I go to random places and the voices just start talking, then I become the conduit for their tales. It’s a unique experience, one I value and love, even if it makes me seem a little crazy at times 😉

What are you working on now?

I’m currently writing Wicked Bonds, which is book seven of my Immortal Curse series. It’s an intense ride—one I’m enjoying because Balthazar (a favorite voice) is in the driver’s seat.

Do you have any quirks while working?

I need mood music and an otherwise quiet space to work. I also find I write best when I first wake up, or when I’m tired and ready to sleep. I think it’s that “daydream” sensation that I crave while drafting a story; it helps me channel the voices better and fall into the daze of stream-writing.

What are your hopes for the future?

I would love to explore more genres within romance, like new adult and dark suspense romance. Those are two guilty pleasure reading areas for me, but my brain always gravitates toward the paranormal world building. I’m working on training my mind to stay in the “real world” for a bit 😉

First book is free.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Keep. Writing. Authors are always learning, and we learn by writing and reading. Sometimes we get stuck on plots or specific scenes, so my biggest advice is just to push through and keep going. The story will come to you, even if you have to switch books for a little while. And don’t give up! This industry is constantly evolving and there is room in it for all of us. Lastly, have fun. Don’t lose that spark and love for what we do ♡

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you for reading my books! This whole career is a dream come true for me. I never expected my words to reach so many people. My goal when I started was to have one person I didn’t know read my book. And now I have readers all over the world. I love and adore you all. Thank you for helping me follow my dreams ❤
