Have you always wanted to become an author?

YES! Ever since I was a little girl I was the one with her nose stuck in a book, especially anything fantasy. If it had dragons in it, I was there. Then I discovered romance… and then reverse harem, where the girl doesn’t have to choose. I’ve wanted to write my own series for over two years now and I finally got brave enough to start when I had some time off in 2020.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I woke up in the middle of the night with the whole concept in my head: elemental dragon clans trying to survive the greedy City’s purge of wild magic, Fae in retreat from a broken and bruised world, and one plucky Fae dragon who thinks she’s a human and doesn’t know her own powers (yet!) but can unite the resistance and bring down the City’s reign of terror. I spent two hours writing down every detail. I think my family thought I was going crazy! But I knew I just HAD to write it.

What are you working on now?

I’m finishing up The Fae Dragon’s Harem, which is my first series. Books 1 and 2 (Drake’s Flame and Gale Force) are available now, with book 3 (Heart’s Locke) coming on March 1st, book 4 (Shattered Clay) on April 1st, and book 5 (Bliss Evermore) on May 1st. Then I have several other series planned in the same world of Aviare…

Do you have any quirks while working?

One of my friends started a “drink more water” challenge and I joined in last year, and it makes writing so much faster. It’s like magic! So I’m sitting here with two huge bottles of water (and music to drown out the, ahem, intrusive non-book world) and if I’m realllllly superduper focused I’ll try to drink from them both at once and spill water all over myself. NOT the fun kind of cold shower that my heroes need in my books…

What are your hopes for the future?

I have several more stories to tell in the world of Aviare. I would love to explore some of the other realms, especially the Fae kingdom. And I want all my kickass girls to get a harem of their own! Now that I’ve started writing I don’t think I can stop. I just want to tell alllllll the stories!

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Just tell the story you’ve always wanted to read. When you can’t sleep because you’re so excited about an idea, you’ll find a way to juggle everything else. Take your own passion as seriously as you take everyone around you and make time for it. Your story matters!

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

Thank you!!! I’ve always dreamed of writing a fantasy/paranormal story, and getting to write a reverse harem romance at the same time is just heaven.
