Author J.E. Clueny #interview

Please give a warm welcome to

Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m Josie, writing under J.E. Cluney. I live on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia, and spend my free time horse-riding and reading. I have a slight chocolate addiction which I’m sure many others can relate with, and I’m a big superhero fan.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

I used to write small stories as a young child, and started my first book series when I was thirteen, which has obviously been altered and adjusted over the years. So I guess I always knew that it was my passion.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I have a few books I’m writing at the moment, but my main series, the Corviticus University series, was inspired by the lack of Aussie RH romance books out there, and I wanted to explore such a theme.

What are you working on now?

I’ll be beginning book 5 next month, and currently have a prison romance and another academy one I’m working on.

Do you have any quirks while working?

Don’t think I have quirks with writing, although I need to take frequent breaks now after discovering just how bad RSI can be.

What are your hopes for the future?

My hopes for the future would be to keep writing, have a number of series out that help others experience a supernatural aspect of Australia.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

My advice for new authors would be to study the market and find something you enjoy writing as well. Connect with other authors as well and learn from them.

Do you have anything to say to your followers?

As for my followers, I just want to say a massive thank you! Without you guys, my writing journey would not be what it is, and you help inspire me and push me to keep writing. You guys are truly amazing ❤
