Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m from California where I have taught elementary school for 12 years. I use a pen name since I write steamy reverse harem romance.
A few random things about me… I have a Diet Pepsi and Flair pen addiction. I hate cooking even though I know how. I have a dog that thinks it’s okay to wake me up at 5am for a treat.
Have you always wanted to become an author?
I’ve been writing since I was in junior high/high school (N*Sync fan fiction). I never thought becoming a published author was possible.
What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
I have a pretty insane and vivid imagination. I usually have an idea and then run with it. My entire world building started with my first series, Celestial Academy, and that came to be right after binge watching Lucifer and then the song ‘Pray’ by Sam Smith coming on Pandora.
What are you working on now?
A new trilogy called Infernal Council. It’s a spinoff of Celestial Academy but is on its own.
Do you have any quirks while working?
I can’t think of any. I just write. I have noticed I write more when it’s dark outside.
What are your hopes for the future?
I would love to be a full-time author, or at least give it a go for a year or two.
Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Make friends. I didn’t talk to other authors at first and am just now starting to. I wish I had sooner. Reverse harem has a great community of writers that support each other. Don’t be scared that you aren’t popular enough or none of the authors will want to answer your questions. They will.
