Tell us a bit about yourself
I’m a mum of three, full time writer and multi-tasker. I’m a total homebody who loves reading and gaming. The Xbox and board games are my go-to pastime activities. My ideal night out would be a yummy meal and a movie. Ideal night in would be to curl up with a book or gather around the huge dining table for a game of Lords of Waterdeep or Cutthroat Caverns. Basically, I’m a total geek, and so are my family.

Have you always wanted to become an author?
Yes, but back in the day it felt like a dream. I didn’t believe it would happen. I spent my spare time writing short stories and reading voraciously. The birth of independent publishing gave me the hope I needed to get my stories out there.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
I watch a lot of supernatural dramas and shows, and I love mythology. I have a huge collection of books on mythology. I also tend to have very vivid story-like dreams, and I draw inspiration from all of these sources. My current work in progress is no different.

What are you working on now?
The Deadside Reapers is a series about…you guessed it, reapers. But not your typical reapers. These reapers are demons born of Lilith’s bloodline. You’ll find fallen angels, loup garou, witches Grigori, a talking python and a sassy ghost.

Do you have any quirks while writing?
Oh gosh, yes, although I didn’t know this until my daughter pointed it out. I was wincing super hard the other day and she asked me what was wrong. I’d literally just wrote that the heroine was wincing. So apparently, I make faces based on what I’m writing. Thank god she hasn’t caught me writing a sex scene!

What are your hopes for the future?
I just want to continue to write stories that take readers on wonderful journeys. It makes me so happy when readers enjoy my books and it makes me happy to write them.
Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Do your research before you hit publish. Make sure you know the market you intend to write in. Don’t just hit publish and expect your book to sell. There are way too many great books languishing on Amazon unseen due to lack of visibility. Write a great book but do the work to make sure it gets seen. Best of luck!

Do you have anything to say to your readers?
Thank you so much for reading my books. Thank you for supporting me with your kind words and your encouragement and thank you for being as crazy about my characters as I am. I love you.
