Tell us a bit about yourself

My name is Tammi Lynn, thirty something yr old single mom of a 13 yr old son and three brat cats. I’ve lived in Arizona all my life and will probably always live here, since im a big wuss when it gets cold. I lived in a super small mining town called Bagdad before I graduated high school and moved out and to the city. Went to UofA and Collins College for graphic art and design before getting swept up in the crazy fast life for a few years. Having my son was the highlight of my life and my greatest accomplishment.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Have always wanted a book about my life story, still haven’t done that one or if I ever will since I sneak pieces into my characters lives but you never know. I have always written short stories, poems, and songs since I was in elementary. Haha now that I think about it I was a huge Hanson fan in Junior high with a crush on Taylor and wrote like a 20 pg short story on how their band brought me in on tour, I may have been shot by a jealous fan at the end of the short story 😂

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Inspiration for my first book and series ever came from wanting to get a small bit of my own story out in a way, hiding bits and pieces throughout the pages, but to also get another book out with a little older characters. Being in my thirties it’s not as easy to find characters I can relate to and wanted to create more characters at an older age for others as well.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently writing a spin off series for my first series. I have not yet done a cover or title reveal for it but its coming soon and will hopefully be published by the end of the month. This book the FMC is the most bad ass Ive written yet and Im super excited for everyone to read Cassie’s story. Contemporary Menage it has a motorcycle club theme.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I prefer writing outside in my hammock even if it means adding some extra clothing on for warmth, im the most comfortable out there and less distracted. I also like to have music on to sing to when I get stumped between paragraphs.

What are your hopes for the future?

Hopes for the future are to keep writing books that readers will enjoy, someday be able to quit my day job to write and start up the tshirt company Ive been wanting to start with a friend for a lot of years now.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

My advice to new authors would be to not give up, give yourself as much time as you need to get your story written, but don’t give up. Also not to worry avout every review, not everyone has the same likes and interests so not everyone will like everything you write. As long as you like what you yourself have written then thats the most Important thing. Oh and if you can find another author friend to go through the journey with like I did it makes it even more enjoyable and exciting!
