Please give a warm welcome to

Tell us a bit about yourself

I live near the Rocky Mountains with my family. When I’m not writing, I love to read, watch movies, and get outside. I’m obsessed with Star Wars and I love coffee.

°

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Pretty much. When I was a kid, I either wanted to be an artist or a writer. I started writing my first novel when I was 11. Life got in the way, people talked me out of pursuing writing (so I studied art instead). I got back into writing after college.

°

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I love reading about badass women who can take care of themselves (with occasional help). So I wanted to write a story about a woman who was out of her element but still found a way to thrive.

°

What are you working on now?

I’ve got a short in a shared world coming out in January and a new Academy series starting in February.

°

°

Do you have any quirks while writing?

Not sure if it’s a quirk, but I blare music. Mostly alt-rock while writing and classical while editing.

°

What are your hopes for the future?

I have a million story ideas and want to write them all!

°

°

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

If you haven’t finished the first draft yet, stop worrying about how you’ll publish. Start there. Once it’s finished, do your research and listen to the people who have already been there but always follow up with your own research.

°

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

I want them to know that I listen to them and I have heard their request for book 4 in The Academy of the Elites series. It’s coming 🙂
