Tell us a bit about yourself
Hi I’m Suki Williams! I’m a newly published author who released my first reverse harem book in September 2019. I’m a stay-at-home-mom and military spouse. I love to eat, travel, and read.

Have you always wanted to become an author?
I’ve always loved reading and grew to love writing when I was in high school. After a really bad experience with a professor in college I stopped writing for years. It was really in the past two years that my love for writing and dream to become a writer came back to me.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?
My current book that I have out was really inspired by a gay romance series I love. (Alexa Land’s Firsts and Forever series) Two of the men in Beauty of Corruption were inspired by one of the off screen characters and how I imagined he would act. After those two men came to me, Blake my MC joined in along with the last two guys.

What are you working on now?
Right now I’m working on a co-write project, a few short stories for anthologies, and a solo project for a second pen name. I’m taking some time to really brainstorm for my next reverse harem book along with books 2 and 3 of Lies and Loves trilogy.

Do you have any quirks while writing?
I always listen to music when I write. It helps me focus. But it has to be music that fits the story and character since I switch POV when I write, so I make a playlist for each character to listen to as I write from their perspective.
°
What are your hopes for the future?
I hope to grow as a writer to bring readers even better stories. I want to grow my second pen name. Eventually I would love to have this be a full-time job for me that can help me support my family.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Keep writing. Even when you might not feel like it. Free write, grab a writing prompt, do something. Even if it doesn’t lead to a story, writing every day is a habit that you will appreciate. Also, you can’t make everyone happy with what you do write and accepting that early will help you immensely. I know it has helped me. Last piece of advice, find your tribe. Find your group of friends that will support you, give you honest opinions, and push you to be better. I wouldn’t be where I am now if not for them.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?
Thank you! Thank you for taking a chance on a new writer and reading my book. I appreciate you, even the readers who found that my current book wasn’t their jam, every bit of constructive feedback is helpful in improving my craft as a writer.
