Tell us a bit about yourself

I am a single mom of three crazy boys and our lives are ruled by our sassy Husky and our wannabe Chihuahua. When I am not writing I am tattooing, painting or going on adventures with my boys. I simply try to enjoy whatever I am doing to the fullest, life is too short to do otherwise.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Not at all. I never even thought about it really until this past year. Sure, I liked English, I liked writing the stories that were required, but that’s just my nature. I had never considered I would actually be writing books that people would enjoy.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

My inspiration for Satan’s Gift was really simple… my boys learning to write and getting their letters mixed up. I thought how funny would it be if they mixed up Santa and Satan as its so easy to do. I also wanted to come up with a story where the good/asshole guys were not who you were expecting ❤

What are you working on now?

There are a ton. Lol – Currently (as in today) I am working on the next book of Her Seven as well as an exciting Antho for Phases of Change. This one I am super excited about

Do you have any quirks while writing?

So… I have this dildo on my desk… when I get angry I tend to throw it at stuff…. Yeah…. You asked.

What are your hopes for the future?

I really just hope to keep writing and putting my words out there for people to enjoy. To be able to help them find that escape from everyday life even for a little bit would be such a blessing.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Your first book is the scariest… its big and its new, but don’t give up. You can totally do this.

Find your own voice and don’t try to copy someone else because you think its what readers want to hear… They want to hear YOU.

Reach out and find a group of like-minded author friends that will be your support when your ready to slam the laptop shut and call it quits.

Most of all, remember WHY you started writing in the first place, and have fun.
