Tell us a bit about yourself

Hi, I’m Stella Price, Author, necromancer, graphic artist, con director and Slytherin Head girl . I have been writing PNR for a little over 12 years and have over 60 full length books out in various romance sub genres. I write as S.A. Price, Anastasia Virgas and Dagmar Avery.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes… well It was part of what I wanted. I wanted to make monster for the movies, but I cant draw for shit, and when I went to college for SFX (minor in English) it was almost unheard of to get a Job in SFX so… I went back to what my first love was, Writing, after a few short detours as a tour manager, model and customer framer.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

Hidden Locations and lesser known myths and mysteries.

What are you working on now?

Actively, I’m working on Book 3 in the Dank Courts series, and the first in a spin off from my rock series called Only Love, which centers around my Sideshow Burlesque Troupe, Morbid Museum.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

Music. Without music the words don’t flow right.

What are your hopes for the future?

Keep writing, find new readers, go further in the career. Im in this for the long haul.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

This is a Marathon, not a sprint. Remember that. If you are serious about a long term career, write what you love (there is nothing wrong with writing to trend, but trends change and it’s not always guaranteed you will hit with something you’re basically writing for money) and the fans and the loyalty will be there. Quality over quantity: Quality books, Quality Readers, Quality FRIENDS. Remember: this industry is not for everyone. Thick skin and ability to take criticism will get your further than anything, but don’t let anyone treat you like shit.
