Tell us a bit about yourself

Well, I’m not sure where to start. I’m a twenty-six-year-old woman living in Australia. I absolutely hate camping, but I love glamping. Yet despite my hate of camping, I somehow love fishing.

Oh, a fun fact about myself; I can’t swim. This fact always surprises people since I absolutely love living in places close to big bodies of water but sadly I never learnt how. Something my husband and I have been working on rectifying the past two years but I’m a big scaredy cat. Although I have made progress. Now when I get into water, I no longer automatically go into panic mode. So, progress.

Have you always wanted to become an author?

Yes and no. Yes I always wanted to become an author, but I never dreamed I could ever do it. So I set my sights on becoming a vet nurse, something I thought would benefit me since I have a pet with medical issues. When I learnt all I could that would benefit my pups health, I turned to writing as a therapy exercise to cope with severe anxiety. Here we are two years later and my anxiety is at the lowest it’s been in my life.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

I don’t generally have something that sparks my interest in writing apart from my dreams. I can wake up randomly some mornings with a story idea just raring to go.

°

What are you working on now?

White Wolf Academy. It’s about a young baby who is abandoned in a prison dimension so she would remain safe until she was old enough to face the world.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

Okay, there is one my husband finds strange. I need to be cold. Usually when I am in the lounge, or office, I have the aircon cranked down to 18 degress and huddle under a blanky. If I don’t have it like this, I get so super uncomfortable and distracted which leads to no writing.

°

°

What are your hopes for the future?

To buy a home that I can make my own and fit with a bigger swag room. Possibly add a second child to the mix or maybe adopt a kitten or two. There isn’t really much I want so long as everyone in my family is happy, that’s all that matters.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Biggest piece of advice I could give is, don’t be afraid to reach out. A lot of new authors I’ve spoken to have been so nervous or afraid to get in touch with authors to ask advice simply because they worry about overstepping some imaginary line. But, to be
honest, asking for help may be the best thing you can do.

The worst thing that could happen is you get a polite ‘I’m sorry, I can’t help you’ or you don’t get a response at all (don’t take it to heart, us authors can get busy). But the best thing that could happen, you could find an author who becomes your mentor,
someone to help guide you through the world of indie publishing.

Do you have anything to say to your readers?

Thank you. I wouldn’t be here today without all of you supporting me everyday to keep writing the stories that pop into my head. I love you all.
