Tell us a bit about yourself

Uhm…I’m a married stay at home Mom and *waggles eyebrows* an author! I hate chocolate and bacon and love cherry twizzlers and potato chips. I’m a little random and chaotic. Haha just kidding, I’m a lot random and chaotic. Total hot mess. I’m in love with love and addicted to fiction. Guess that’s why I’m here? Is that enough? I’m pretty awful about talking about myself. My specialty is talking to myself. *nervous laugh*

Have you always wanted to become an author?

No, actually. It never actually occurred to me that I could do this. I’ve been the last *cringe* almost ten years, not knowing what I wanted to be when I grow up. I’m digging this, now I just need to work on the growing up part.

What was your inspiration for your current book/series?

For Midland Springs, as I was writing Their Book Nerd, it just kind of made sense to make it a virtually neverending series. And it’s different and honestly probably a little risky but making each book about a different love story featuring different types of pairings (RH, M/M, F/F, Menage, etc.) again, just made sense. To me these are real people in a real town. In a real town you’re going to find all different kinds of people in all different walks of life. Mostly the characters dictate who they are and I’m just a puppet writing out their stories.For the co-write I’m working on with CA Higgins, it actually started with a joke I’ve been telling for years. I don’t even remember if I got it from somewhere or made it up. But CA and I just ran with it and now there is this whole world that I’m just absolutely in love with.

What are you working on now?

I’m finishing up Lydia’s story, book 2 in the Midland Springs Series. Starting book 3. And the sci-fi urban fantasy co-write with CA Higgins.

Do you have any quirks while writing?

I have to be listening to music. The music changes depending on the book or character POV I’m working on usually. The Khalid station on Amazon Music has been able to cross character POVs and that’s mostly what I’ve been listening to lately.

What are your hopes for the future?

Just keep writing. Of course I would love to hit bestseller at some point and go to conventions. But the main hope is to just give people joy when they read my words.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?

Do your research! Look over all your options and see what works for you. Not everything will work for the everyone. But the biggest piece of advice would probably be, don’t be afraid to reach out. We have an amazing community full of amazing women and men that have a wealth of knowledge. It can be intimidating but everyone, for the most part, is so kind and very willing to help you out. Oh, and remember you’re not going to please everyone and it’s not your job to.

Thank you so much. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I have been completely blown away by each and every one of you. Every review, comment, post, etc. warms my heart. I will never have enough words to thank y’all properly.
