Tell us a bit about yourself
I am twenty-years old and a senior in college. I’m studying political science and legal studies. Originally, I planned to go to law school but now I’m not so sure. Writing is definitely my passion so if I can make a career out of it that would be surreal. Oh and I love animals! I have like fifteen rescued pets at home. Cats, dogs, bunnies, turtles, birds, Guinea pigs.

Have you always wanted to become an author?
I always did want to be a writer, but I didn’t always want to be an author. See, I love writer, but I don’t like being in the spotlight. As an author, you have to deal with so much stuff that it sometimes feels as if you’re head is exploding. I had planned to only write for myself when I lost a bet with my sister. As such, I had to publish my first book. I literally did it in a day. Got the covers, uploaded it to Amazon, etc. I didn’t have any experience nor idea of what to expect. I didn’t think even ten people were going to read my book. At the time, I didn’t have an ARC team or betas or even an editor. It was just me. I still can’t believe how it just blew up.

What was the inspiration for your current series?
My inspiration for Gangs and Ghosts is actually kind of funny. I was watching a horror movie and I was like “wow, that chick could totally start her own harem.” And then I started thinking of my own experience. Gangs and Ghosts is actually loosely based on my old house I used to live with. I don’t remember it because I was very young, but my parents told me that it was haunted and I would talk to an imaginary friend called the Shadow Man (creepy, I know). I don’t know why I decided to add the gang. It just came to me with their behaviors. And thus, Gangs and Ghosts was born!
What are you working on now?
I’m working on the third Together We Fall series and a contemporary RH through a writing class I need to take. Ohh and a short story for an anthology I am. So probably more than I can handle haha.

Do you have any quirks while writing?
I always write on my phone. Every story has been completely written in notes. My author friends call me a heathen because of it.

What are your hopes for the future?
I hope to be able to continue to do what I love. I also hope that my stories will somehow resonate with the readers the way they do for me. For the most party, feedback has been overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. As long as people keep reading, I’ll keep writing.

Do you have any advice for new authors about the publishing world?
Do it. Just bring yourself to do it. I keep thinking of how things would’ve been different if I hadn’t lost that bet. Probably still writing stories that no one but me would read. Don’t be afraid if you can’t afford a fancy cover or an editor. As long as you have a story, people will read it. And join groups! I am currently in a group with a few authors that have been my rock. I don’t know what I would do without those ladies.

Do you have anything to say to your fans?
Oh gosh. I could write a whole novel on that haha. Thank you for supporting me and believing me even when I struggled to believe in myself. This has definitely been a journey full of ups and downs, but you guys have made it all worth it. I don’t know who I would be without you and your support. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.
